Subwoofer Problem!!!

Payed 40 bucks 1 center, 4 satelites and one 8 inch sub The other speakers are perfect but the subwoofer is weird instead of having a rca input it has 2 speaker wire slots one postive one negative the reciever im getting as a subwoofer out that uses on single rca is there a way i could hook it up to the reciever?? Will it sound ok?

Check to see if the input is for speaker level inputs. If that is the case then you have to connect the speaker outputs of your receiver to that Sony sub. A powered sub usually has an RCA type jack for receiving low frequency signals from a receiver's sub out. Some powered sub has both inputs.
