Hello,

I recently bought the RCA RT2390 surround sound system. I connected it to my TV (Sanyo CLT2054 LCD TV) and DVD player (Sony DVP-NS575P) and my cable (Cox basic). My DVD player and TV are connected by component cables. My surround sound system is connected to my DVD player by a digital coax cable and works great with it, but I can't get any sound whatsoever from my surroud sound speakers when I try watching cable. I connected my TV to my RCA reciever with the cable that has two red and white plugs at each end.

I'd like to get my setup working as soon as possible so I can watch my Gators win the NCAA tournament this weekend in glorious surround sound . Can anyone help me out? If possible, I'd like to avoid getting a cable box.

Thanks in advance.

It seems that your tv only has audio in jacks . There are no audio out jacks that is why you are getting no sound. You need a HI-FI VCR or a cable box with audio out puts.Hook up the Cable box antena out ot the VCR set it for chanel 3 and send your RED and WHITE cables from the audio out on the VCR to the reciever.
