Hello,

I am a newbie on HT and looking for one to buy for DLP TV.
There are too many choices to select and want to take some experts' words.
Which brand and model would be better out of 4 as below ?

Yamaha RX-V1600, RX-V2600
Denon AVR-3806
Onkyo TX-SR803

Any comments will be appreciated, thx in advance.

I have the Denon, but it's a 3805, basically what you're considering but with no HDMI I/O. With the 3805, there is no video pass-through when power is off/standby - this is something I could not find on any website or manual, I just had to figure it out.

Maybe the 3806 has this feature, maybe not, but it's something worthwhile to inquire about.

In any case, the 3806 is very nice. Has automatic DD/DTS/DDpl11/DTS.ES selection. Pretty powerful too.
