When buying a htib system, how important is it to get one with component inputs? It seems like a nice to have (hooking up a satellite receiver to the input and then back out into the tv) but not critical. Is it worth the extra couple hundred dollars?
I'm trying to spend < $500 for a 5.1 system (trying to decide between Yamaha, Onkyo, or Sony). I already have a separate progressive scan dvd so getting a built-in dvd is not mandatory.
I don't believe component inputs are critical or necessary in an HTIB. Going direct to the monitor is best, going through the receiver and then to the TV is just another step.
