I have been trying to find a hack for my Sanyo DWM-450 for several months now to make it region free. I have scoured the internets for a long time without any luck. I have tried several options that i stumbled upon and none of them worked. I read somewhere that i need a firmware patch to make the DVD player region free. Can someone help me out? The most common solution that i have come across is mentioned below and this does not work.

1. Power on the DVD player. 2. Eject the DVD tray by using remote controller. 3. Press 5, 7, 9, 2 in sequence. 4. Select 0 to set the DVD player to multiregion. 5. Close the tray.
