Center Channel

I finally gave up my ancient Marantz and bought a Onkyo TX-NR901, AND a center channel speaker to convert to a home theater set-up. All of the articles say to place the center channel on top of the TV, but they also say that the center channel should be at the same level as the front mains (Klipsch RF-7's). My problem is that the TV is BIG, and the center channel is about 2 feet ABOVE the top of the front mains when on top of the TV. Should I elevate the rear of the center channels to bring the focus down, or place the center channel below the TV and angle up? Any advice would be appreciated.

Try different setups and positions and leave it the way it sounds best to you.
