i like music loud and clean looking for a very
efficent speaker that can take some pounding.

i have the hk525 plus the parasound 855a and an
older 2 channel kenwood M2A "220x2 amp(8 ohm) 350
(4 ohm)"

must have crisp clean highs and play all day at
loud levels.

they wiil be used for both music and h/t.

i've looked at some klipsch i like. very efficent,
nice highs and seem to handle being abused.

just wondering if there is anything else out that
might do me justice.

thanks in advance (rock on) long live angus

oh by the way i listen to mainly rock (all forms)

For $1000 a pair and considering your H/K 525 I can't think of anything that will beat a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 6's. Much less bright and harsh than the Klipsch but spectacular sounding and can take the pounding you are looking for. These speakers are truely incredible for the money and a perfect match for any mellow sounding unit like the 525. Like many speakers they need a break in period [about 60 hours ] and then smooth out and are just beautiful. The Monitor's have a very nice finish and build quality also.

well i diceded to go a little different route.

i allready had a pair of jbl S312BE (not the newer
cheaper s312II's) so i picked up the klipsch rb-35

i'm running the klipsch on the hk525 and the jbl's
on the preout's being powered by the m2a.

wow this is exactly what i was looking for the
clarity and volume is amazing.

i am also very impressed at the imaging, soundstage
and base, overall the combo is absolutly stunning.

you are talking to one very happy camper.

i brought in a danzig cd and joe jackson to listen
to the rb-35's and they were great performers even
in the base department.

anyone thinking of getting a pair i would imagine
would be very pleased, crisp clean mid's and highs
with supizingly good base. very good match for the
laid back hk reciever.96db sens easily driven.
