Hi, I was wondering if I could get some opinions on what would be a good sub/ sat system to pair up with a H/K avr230. I can spend around $700. The system will be used 50% tv/ movies, 30% video games, and 20% music.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The Ventriloquest VT-12 and STF-2 by HSU Research are within your price range.

Hsu specializes in subwoofers, and their STF-2 is a 10" downfiring sub for $399. They have expanded their product offering with the VT-12 @ $249.00

CompUSA's new home entertainment division is carrying both, so maybe you can audition them too.

This one has an amp built in, and is only $299, but received great reviews.

Jason:

I like the new KEF 1005 system. It has an MSRP of $799, but it can be obtained for about $675.
