I'm new to this forum thing and still beginner to A/V stuff. I'm going to upgrade my system to Denon AVR 4802R or Yamaha RX-Z1, Polk's LSI's, and sub choices: HSU VTF-3R, Velodyne SPL-1000, or Polk LSIWB 10. Anybody that can help me decide on receiver and sub would be appreciated.

I was in your position not too long ago. I ended up getting an HK AVR525 along with a Velodyne CHT-12. I am very happy with it. I did try the HSU STF-2 but the cost difference did not justified the sound difference to me. I got the CHT-12 pretty cheap a month ago, 270$...compare to what it was 500$.

Hey man buy JBL, they cant be beat, they are reasonably priced and sound great.
