Drive 6 Ohm Cerwin Vega AVS5.1 speakers with a Sony 1000ES a/v amplifier?

The C-V AVS5.1 speakers sound really decent to me in the store, and an amazing value at $200. But they're 6 Ohm and I'm wondering if they will draw too much current from a 100 watt per channel a/v amplifier (Sony 1000ES).

I have a similar question. I have a Harman Kardon AVR525 and would like to run a pair of 6 Ohm speakers (KEF Q15's) for the rears. The receiver and manual only refer to 8 Ohm speakers. Will this cause any problems or damage to the receiver? Will this limit my ability to add additional speakers like a center or sub-woofer?

Thanks
