Forgive me for being redundant as I put this ? in a reply on a thread in the receivers area. I didn't know if it would be seen, so I have repeated it here. I just ordered last night the H/K 525 receiver. Now I need advice on speakers. Here is the info you may need to know:
1. Our den is 12 x 22, has wood floors (covered by a braid rug), and has two windows on the front wall in between which sits our TV.
2. I want to spend as close or under 300 dollars as possible.
3. Don't have room for anything big (can't afford it either ) but want to hear beautiful music- mainly from cd's and the receiver.
I saw a couple of deals online I wanted your input on. One was from dmc-electronics for a pair of Mission 702s - 300 dollars. onecall has athenas AS-B2 for 230 and a center for 170. Then there is ascend acoustics CBM-170's for 328.00. Which do you think would be best? Hawk, I saw in an earlier post that you have Missions. What do you think of them? You all have been super so far- I continue to take your advice to heart! thanks everyone!
