I need to have a miller kreisel vx-7 sub
fixed for a good friend as a favor.

It powers up and red the LED goes on.
The cone moves freely without problem.

I will probably suspect the electronics.

I basically need a lead as to where to send it out to have it fixed.

Thanks in advance.

If the plate amp ran in class D, which it probably did, you do not repair those amps as a rule but rather just replace them with a new amplifier.

Jan,
Thant's what I had in mind.
Any leads as to where I could send it?

I look online but I can't seem to find much
about this outfit.

Thanks,
Michele

If you just want to replace the plate amplifier, you can buy any plate amp that fits the cut out in your powered subwoofer. (For that matter, unless you have already removed your existing plate amp, you only need access to the cables running internally to the driver itself.) Put "plate amplifier" into a search engine and find one that looks appropriate. Make certain you have access to your subwoofer driver, usually by removing either the existing plate amp or the driver itself, and you should be in business. Companies such as Madisound and Parts Express should have several plate amps to choose from and they can provide additional guidance in choosing the correct amp for your situation.
