It's like a Alegria Audio Rosa but with a ribbon instead of a soft dome tweeter. I'd love to hear it.

This actually looks interesting to me...

Of course, I'll probably just stick with Emma for a while longer

AV123 has several very similar open-baffle designs in the works that use the same driver...I think?

Danny Richie who designs for AV123 designed that x/o for the OB2X (there's also a OB3X), so there's a good chance that the similarities might be more than skin-deep.

Haven't heard of any open baffles at AV123. The only thing I know of being released any time soon is their line source speakers.

Ohh boy...

Of course this just adds to the reason why I wouldn't actually ever buy an AV123 product: a complete lack of a design philosophy other than "make a design that looks cool and produce it for cheap in China". I mean, I have no problem with hybrid electrostats, line source arrays, open baffle speakers, box speakers, and whatever else they're planning on producing; heck I'd like to hear a decent example of each at some point in my life. But I suspect that a company that produces all of the above seemingly just so they have a product in that category, and then proclaims each one to be the very best money can buy, only does a mediocre job at any one thing.

Actually, AV123 has a new factory in Columbia.

The only AV123 product I've heard was the Strata Mini, and they were pretty damn good. All the AV123 products, to date, have been very well received. So perhaps these new products will not disappoint, but I agree that their product line can use some streamlining.

And a philosophy...

Even Bose has a philosophy behind their designs.

Columbia.
What is the name of the electronics company that was making amps and stuff with 123 a while back? They were always made in Colombia as well.
I bet that those speakers get extra attention at import inspection.
