What would you think is a better option Nad C320 BEE and C521 BEE or Arcam Alpha 8 integrated and Alpha 9 CD player? It is older but more expensive components ve newr lower price
The Alpha 9 CD player was a fine machine and definitely a good bit better than the C521BEE. Of course, it's not new. The only worry would be the laser mechanism. The rest of the machine can be fixed if needs be, but I believe those mechanisms are in scarce supply now.
The Alpha 8 amplifier is a bit too warm for my taste. I think I would prefer the C320BEE because it has a leaner more pacey presentation. However, if your speakers are at all difficult to drive, the Alpha 8 would have the beefier power supply to drive them.
