I have a marantz 5200 reciever and I'm using a JBL 10 inch downfiring sub (PB10). Since I plugged in the sub often when I first turn on the receiver I get ridiculous subwoofer feedback and then after about 10 seconds my whole system shuts off and makes a high pitched hum.
Sometimes this can be resolved by playing with the sound modes (switching between Stereo, 6 ch stereo, auto, etc etc) but sometimes even this doesn't work.
Anyone have any answers?

Oh yeah, I'm using an LFE connection and have a monster LFE subwoofer cable connecting it to my receiver

Did you Turn on the Subwoofer to ON on your receiver???
