Hello everyone. I'm new here and I'd just like to thank everyone in advance for any help you can give. I'm relatively new to the home audio scene.

Anyway, while cruising the local Goodwill, I came upon a Cerwin Vega HT-10D subwoofer for $20. Everything looked good, but I couldn't figure why anyone would give this away if it still worked. I bought it anyways. Sure enough, hooked it up and it didn't work. Took it apart, everything is hooked up alright. Any ideas as to what could be wrong or even where to start?

.

Check for a blown fuse.

If the fuse is intact, give the whole thing back to Goodwill. It ain't worth fixin'.

If you just must have this sub, check to see if the driver is frozen. If it is, give it back to Goodwill or buy a new driver.

If the driver is OK, buy a new plate amp or give the whole thing back to Goodwill.

It ain't worth fixin'.

Say I were to try and fix it, could anyone explain to me how I'd go about testing for these problems?
