Hope you can help. I recently purchased the 640R and DVD89, and once hooked up all worked fine.
About a week ago, we threw on a 5.1 DVD, and found that the center speaker wasn't producing any sound at all. I hopped onto the OSD for the Amp, and used the speaker test, and all except the center speaker produced a result.
I've checked the speaker is enabled (it's set to small, as are the other speakers and the sub is set to on.)
I've checked the DVD player is putting our 5.1, and it is.
I took the speaker back to where I bought it and they tested it, and it worked fine (they just hooked it up to a stereo out on a MP3 player.)
I'm stumped as to what to try next, I've checked that it's cabled up properly, and even swapped over the optical cable from the DVD to the amp.
Oh, and I've also checked that it's in 5.1 mode, and the display shows that all the channels lit up.
