Dual 505-3 Fault Help

Hi,

My Dual 505-3 has started playing up.

The fault is no sound from the Right Channel.

I have tried the following:-

Swapping phonos around moves the sound from LH speaker to the RH speaker.

I've tried another amp and the fault is still there so I know it's not the amp.

I've tried a new stylus and still no luck.

I've had someone unplug the cartridge connections clean them and plug them back in.

My last resort before scrapping it would be to cut the phonos and replace them and finally undo and screw at the back of the unit to check the wiring.

Any ideas. Please help because I would hate to throw it away as it's in excellent condition and work faultlessly up until the new year.

Check the other threads on this section that refer to Dual tables. There is a troubleshooting site for help with this problem. Dual wiring and cables are notoriously bad.
