How does an effective stylus cleaner for under $3 sound?

The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser should be used dry. Cutting off a small block and attaching it to a wood skewer or coin makes it easy to use.

I agree,I just got The Lyra SPT today and so far I find it better than the Discwasher, the Clearaudio Elixir and the Vinylcare cleaner. All of which are ok up to a point.

The worst I found was this :

I got a similar item to this off a friend ,who uses them in the electonics industry.
At first it I thought it was great till I "cleaned" the tip right off my g1042 ,Ouch! 90 quid gone in a few seconds.

.

Don't know about your g1042 but bonded styli need special care with any cleaner. Most high end cleaners are meant for use only with n-u-d-e mounted styli.

That's what I like about the Lyra ,it gets the stylus clean with just a very gentle brushing action.

The Goldring G1042 has a n-ude stylus.

Any opinions regarding a product called "Needle Nectar" for cleaning the stylus?
