Amp for Headphones?

Post Number: 722 Registered: Dec-06 | Would it hurt the amp or headphones if you were to take 2 professional like 8000 watt amps and use the 1/4" mono output and combine the two into a stereo 1/8" jack then plug your headphones into that? Would it sound ok if you just barely turned it up to normal headphone volume if it worked? I know you might be tempted to CRANK IT though. |

Post Number: 776 Registered: Dec-06 | Speaking of a headphone amp I recently hooked my headphones up to this computer and noticed it completely blasted my ears out on the very first notch! When I turned it to MAX it could be heard from the other side of the house! What Gives??? I thought computers didn't have much headphone output. I think these are like 24ohm headphones or something. Another thing to mention is that on my 10 year old computer I had to have the volume all the way up and equalizer in WMP turned to max just to hear it, with distortion! When I push this computer into heavy distortion with these headphones it's so FREAKIN' loud (and annoying)!! |
