I have recently dragged my Dads old record player out of the cellar. Have connected it up ok, but there is no grounding wire, or any place that I can see I can connect one. Consequently I have the old humming problem.

Have searched the internet for a manual but no luck. Can anyone help me please, I know I need to ground it but just can't see how?

Thanks

.

You are asking for information specific to the PL510 that has long since evaporated from my memory. Try removing the bottom cover plate and touching a ground wire to the base of the tonearm and the receiver/pre amp's chassis. Preferrably you want to attach the wire to a mounting screw at the base of the arm. This should solve your problem and then only leave you with the issue of making the connection permanent at the player's end.
