Does anyone know if ESS Inc still exists? If they do, does anyone have contact information? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Ouch!! Thanks for the input Jim. How about reputable places that rebuild them or better yet, resources besides Ebay to find and purchase a set of good AMT-1's or 2's that have been gone through, tested and what not ? Mom worked there back in the day when they were in Sacramento. She had a set that she sold in 1985 ... Haven't seen many since. Thought about bidding on a set that was on Ebay, but wanted to try to get educated about re-build sources, parts etc .... I was a bit gun shy since you can't listen prior to buying ...
Thanks for responding!

I saw ESS speakers listed in the 2007 Stereophile Buyer's Guide. Maybe they're staging a come-back?

Is ESS a good name to stage a comeback with?
Or is it so long ago that only a few of we types would remember?
