Hi, I have a stereo system of CA 640A, Nad c542 and Wharfedale Diamond 9.1. I like the sound of my sytem but I also want to upgrade my speakers. As I like the sound of wharfedale, I found wharfedale evo 8 (not evo2) but its price is three times of 9.1 and I don't have chance to listen them. Does anyone listen both 9.1 and evo8? Does this price worth for evo 8? Thanks for your answers.
M, no direct listening to the evo, but it had better be an absolute steal to top the 9.1. Like, by a country mile. My guess is that if your kit is not top shelf, and your ear is the finest, it is not a deal. Getting into higher end speakers are tailored to certain tastes, and trade off flexibilities.
