Can anyone provide enlightment on the specific
connections that need to made to bridge two Adcom
555's to drive a pair of power hungry B&W 801 Series 80 speakers? I know they can be bridged but nothing exist in manual for wiring instructions to do so. Thanks for any input.

RT, what pre-amp are you using, how many pre-outs?

Call Adcom for specifics but I think you'll find a DIP switch inside the amplifier that functions as a bridge.

I am currently using a Cambridge Azur 640a as a preamp but I have a Dynaco Pat5 on the way (with
the Van Alstine upgrade) The Cambrige only has one set of pre-outs and I'm not sure about the Dynaco. There is a switch on the back of the Adcoms from Stereo to Mono but I don't want to toast my amps or the 801's by "fishing" for the
correct connections. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

RT, use an unbalanced splitter from each preout to send to each amp, then use one amp per side.

The left pre-out, install a splitter to create 2 inputs for one amp. Then bi-amp the left speaker with the amp's 2 channels.
Repeat for right.

But the question wasn't about how to bi-amp.

And left+ and right- speaker leads. It should be printed on the amp backpanel itself.
