Im going to use an integrated amp with my pc connected to auxiliary from my soundcard. Im wondering if its possible to use the 'cd' ins on an amp to connect another source being a television. I know you'll suggest a reciever but the reason I want an integrated is because I'll be using it more for music and I wont be using surround sound.
You can use the amplifier in the manner you describe but there is a good chance you wil have a ground loop that will result in 60Hz hum from the amp one one or both sources. A receiver wouldn't change this situation.
