Pioneer VSX-816k Question

I have my (cheap) DVD player hooked up to receiver via digital coax cable. With a dolby digital dvd, the dvd players detects Dolby digital, but the receiver only detects a digital input - no dolby. When I try manually setting up the input, I only get various dolby pro logic and neo options... I believe the cables are all hooked up right, from dvd digital out to the receiver digital coax input (1) (DVD/LD). Don't know hot to get it to detect dolby though.. anybody have any ideas? I've tried with various source DVDs, same problems

Why is default output set to 2.0 output and not 5.1?? Anyway doesn't matter.. took me 2 hours to figure it out lol, should have checked back here sooner =D
