OKay... So I took out a small speaker(thin, about the size of a half-dollar) out of my voice recorder. Now, I'm planning to wire it some how to a head phone jack, which I have. How do I wire it? When I just stick the speaker wires (there's two, a red and a gray one) in the jack cover and plug it in, nothing happens. Help please!

Perhaps check the connection at the speaker side, during the removal process a connection may have been strained.

Are you trying to use the headphone jack of the voice recorder or a different stereo headphone jack? If stereo, you'll need to connect the red and grey wires to a + and - instead of two +. If mono, its probably a short circuit or a connection that comes loose when you replace the jack cover.
