I have a new 5990 and can't get video to my recorders (Toshiba DVD rcdr, Toshiba DVD/VCR combo, Sony VHS VCR). All play back well, except for picture search modes which drops out the picture entirely. Have a C-band 4DTV rcvr with HDD-200 decoder - S-video out from rcvr to decoder, component out to HTR 5990 and mostly component outs to the video recorders, with the Mitsubishi rear screen TV being fed from monitor out on the 5990. Picture is excellent from any source playing back, but cannot record video on any machine. Any suggestions?
