Yamaha RX-V1050 - Bose 901 - Peavy TKO 115 bass amp

John
Hi guys, who can help me out with this "stupid" idea?
I have a Yamaha stereo receiver dolby surround, and hookt on it some Bose 901.
I have also a bass guitar amp Peavy TKO 115 that I would like to hook on the system for having a better bass.
Is this possible, if yes how do I do this.
Thank you all

If your Yamaha reciever has a RCA out for the subwoofer, you can run it to the TKO115. You'll need to go to Radio Shack and get a RCA to 1/4 phono jack to plug it in. Try the line in jack first, it will bypass the preamp and internal eq section of the TKO115 and allow you to control sub volume through the reciever. If you want the eq control use the regular input jack but you'll get a lot more "noise" and even some distortion if input volume is turned up to much. Start with the master volume on the TKO at zero. Turn up the reciever to your loudest listening volume. Then slowly turn up the master on the TKO115 untill it balances with the rest of the system. If it distorts try turning down the preamp volume and the master up a little.
Hope it works,
Mike
