I'm buying speakers for a new home theater system, and I'm torn. I'm on a budget, and I had decided on the Polk RM6700 with the PSW404 subwoofer--it seems to be a combination a lot of people are happy with, and with the current rebate, I can get them together for $800.
However.
I just came across the Gallo Nucleus Micro speakers. Five of them with the Gallo subwoofer comes to $1500. That's $700 more. But they get great reviews, and they are SO cool looking.
I need expert advice: is it worth spending $700 more? (There's no *way* I can spend more than $1500, so please don't suggest the Mirage Omnisat. It only hurts me.) The wife wants cute, but the wife also wants cheap, so she's leaving it up to me.
