Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement cartridge for the Dual 601? I don't know much about it, but from what I understand its a 1/2" mount, MM... is there anything else I need to know, or will almost anything fit? Thanks for the help.
Good advice from Jan. I have used several carts in a 601: The Shure M97 and Ortofon OM-5E integrate well with the 601 tonearm. The AT-440ML did not behave as well as the Shure or Ortofon with warped records. All these carts are available for under $100. -JC
