I am looking to upgrade my speakers. I want to spend around $1000 for a center channel, front and rear speakers. I already have a Velodyne subwoofer. I know all the brands but am looking to see if there are any models people recommend.
Im lookin myself. What I do is go to Best Buy, Circuit City or a high end audio store. I listen and price...then go home and search for better prices and reliable ratings. CC does have a ratings section on each of their products. But you have to hear for yourself too. You cant always depend on someone elses ears. I've listened to the Yamaha NS-AP480SW setup at BB. The satellites (4)sound pretty decent. The sub is somewhat lacking and the center channel wasn't hooked up. But the two satellites that were connected indicated it would not be too bad for $300.
