If you're just using it for movies you stand a good chance of acceptable results not using exact matches. In a perfect world all the speakers would be the same on each channel. Realistically, a speaker with similar "timbre" or "tonality" is desirable. Buying the same brand can get you close in many cases and the closer the better but as an interim solution you could use nearly any speaker for surrounds.
