Hi

I recently bought a Polk R15 pair and the Sonic Impact t-amp and built a 2 channel system - my first attempt at anything resembling a home theater. Anyways, I've been told that to get a better output should change the headphone jack in the t-amp into two female RCA plugs for the audio input.

Anybody have experience doing this? Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to advise on anything else that would improve my hometheater experience. Thanks.

Have you seen this site? Describes the best mods for the SI.

I suspect that the SI may no be powerful enough to give you huge volume with the Polks and may sound a bit bright. Doubt if the mods will help too much if that is the problem. Power supply is the most important thing, I would suggest. :-)

I have one of these Sonic amps, and the sound is revolting.
