Are you using a car amp? What is the amperage rating of your power supply? Is the amp grounded to the power suppky?

Audio Wizard,
You need a lot more than 3 amps. You have to match or exceed the ampere rating of the vehicle. Try and get a power supply that is rated at 30 amps.
