hey everyone ,just bought a new reciever for my axioms i got a used marantz sr-6300. It was a large improvement from my hk-125.
Now that i have some preouts i can finally bi amp my m-60's..
well when i was at the shop i saw this 5 channel used power amp (rb-985). Does anyone have any opinions on have this combo might work out? Seems like a good idea.. any input is welcome. Also if anyone knows about what that would be worth in canadian dollars, that would be a bonus. thanks in advance.
Hi Dan. I got my 985 at Target Hi-Fi there on Dundas St. $800, the guy who traded it was there as well, hanging out (regular customer). Said it would shut down, but worked ok in the store. Turns out th twisted pair Kimber cables were a poor combination. I use HK avr55 as a pre and the 985 driving PSB'S. You can hear it first if you want, bring your marantz, and your cdp if you like. I am in Parkhill on the weekend,I am in LA this week.
