Hi I'm in Canada and I own an Arcam Alpha 7 amplifier and cd player. I'll be going back to Malaysia after completing my studies. Question is, is it possible to use my amp and cd player back home without having to resort to any internal modification? We use 240v as opposed to 110v in canada.
The CD player can be run off a transformer. The amplifier probably draws too much current to work properly with a wall wart type transformer. An Arcam dealer might be the best place to check or email Arcam. Some amplifiers have power transformers which can be rewired for different voltages.
