Nube Tech question - wattage - speakers driven?

Ok...here's another newbie question (begging forgiveness in advance!)

I've recently purchased a decent Onkyo 7.1 receiver with 85 watts per channel. It also has a second channel for a remote set of speakers.

If I'm trying to set up the whole thing (3 pairs plus one center plus one powered sub) and a separate pair of speakers on the second channel...do I need to calculate how much wattage goes to each speaker...to help determine what speakers I can run off the system?

Someone told me something about taking the watts per channel and dividing by speaker pairs...then what?

No, you don't need to concern yourself with any of that.

Hook 'em up and calibrate the level of each speaker in the receiver setup. Read the manual.
