I came home from work and decided to listen to some music, I turned up the amp and my speakers were giving sound but with poping noise.

I had my amp on for 2 days because reading somewhere said this was ok, keeps your amp warm. Doesnt stand by do this? And do you think it was the amp, I never have speakers cranked up.

Do you keep your amp in a cabinet? Sometimes you can open the top keeps it coolor. If you have no kids tat will touch it.

Sounds like your overheating your amp. Try adding a cooling fan. If you can't do that, check the impedence of the speakers and that of the amp and make sure they are compatible. Here in Minnesota, overheating is not a problem except in summertime.
