Anything that looks anywhere close to as good as Bang & Olufsen?

I desperately want a nice set of speakers for a living room. Bang and Olufsen has always attracted me because of their sleek designs and good sound (I'm thinking of getting the Beolab 8000 speakers priced at $4000). But before I do, I'd like some help from you guys. Is there any other speaker company that makes better sounding speakers (maybe even for less money) that still look good?

Mon dieu! that is one ugly b*tch of a speaker! ^^^ I'd never have that in my house.. too spooky - i wouldnt trust the thing.. always looking over my shoulder in case it tried to assimilate me!

Resistance is futile!!

Ha! That's funny.
D.M. you nailed it with the GMA's. The Continuum's do look like they are made with Borg technology.

Check out the Gallo Nucleus Reference 3 ($2600). It's been getting rave reviews...many calling it the best sub- 5K speaker available. It's also a very unorthodox design.

If you want looks and sound and have money check out the Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor or the floorstanding Cremona.
