Classical dvd-a recommendation?

So far I only have 6 high rez discs, but am looking to expand not only my collection, but also my horizons. As my musical taste runs from rock to rap, blues & jazz, I'm looking for any recommendations in the classical area with a bit of bite to it. I read somewhere that the 1812 overture, with the cannons is awesome.

Any comments or other recommendations?

Value for money: the Naxos DVD-A catalogue www.naxos.com They are cheaper than a premium CD.

I have been buying these, just for the DVD-A sound, and discovered some great music I would never, otherwise, have bought. If you want "bite" try the Shostakovich Leningrad Symphony, also his Jazz Suites. I never owned any Shostakovich before. Holst's The Planets will also blow you out of your seat.

John, thanks for the heads-up on Naxos. I think I'll try the Planets first, and go from there. Am looking forward to filling the family room with dedicated strings, horns, etc.
