I have the sony SLV-D300P and am not very pleased.. It stops frequently during DVD playback. The only reason why it was purchased was space limitation and I needed a VHS player for kids and older tapes I own. I know that dedicated appliances are usually superior. I have heard others say that they have the same problem. Is there a fix for this now that anyone has heard of that is out there? I want a new one but do not have the coin right now. Fixes anyone? Thanks!

I have the same problem. Sometimes it will restart if I stop and play, other times it goes back to the start of the move. What a pain. I thought Sony made better products.
