Sunfire vs. Velodyne vs. Paradigm

Anonymous

I am considering a Sunfire True Subwoofer Junior or a Velodyne CHT-8 or a Paradigm PS-1000 for bass support in a system that is 80% 2 channel stereo, 20% surround. My front speakers are NHT SB-3s, my receiver is a Dennon 2803 and my room is mid-sized (large apartment) and carpeted.
Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks for your help!

If you don't have a lot of room to put the sub. I'd go with a sunfire. They are nice and go pretty deep, especially for an apartment. I haven't heard what the other two sound like.

I use that Sunfire sub with my Marantz 7400. It's a 9 inch cube powered to 1000 watts. You have control of volume and phase on the sub. Should be more than ample in an apartment. Some others have commented that the Sunfire is a little muddy sounding. I haven't noticed it. See if you can audition one in the store to be sure you like it.
