im pretty sure it will work...cause its a 12 vdc source wire...and it will ground to the same place

Yes it can be done. Cut the cigaret adapter off and cut the plastic wire cover off so you got some wire showing. There should be one wire that has a colored stripe along it. Thats your ground wire. Run your wires to the front of your car, and find a good ground for the one, underneith the steering wheel is where I found mine. Hook the positive wire up to the fuse box and your done. Sorry for bad spelling and gramar

I had a neon light hooked up to my subs and i connected power from the radio wire harness - orange wire, then grounded it.everytime i turned the driving lights on the neons would go on, pretty cool.
