does anybody know how to put 2 subs together on a mono amp without blowing them and how do you determine how much power will be going to each sub

you need to give us a link/or model number of those subs or tell us the voice coil configuration. The vc config will determine the amp you need, and yes you can use a mono amp and will probably want to you just have to present it with the right ohm load...which is why the voice coil config is important

so you have two SVC 4ohm subs...right?
250wrms each.

look at these amps:
jbl bp600.1
orion XTR500
memphis 16-mcd500
kicker kx500.2
rockford 500S
rockford P6002
hifonics BX605

the orion would be my first choice.
all of those can be had for less than $200.

ported well give out a big noticeable differece of bass by at least 3 db so ported gives out more bass and sealed is more sound quality and bandpass is another good box desisng but if i were u choose ported

andy werner,

i built a ported box for an L7 10" about 3months ago. the guy that i did it for had the sub in a sealed box before i built the ported one. when i installed the ported box...he was utterly amazed how much louder it was.

go ported...1.5-2cuft tuned 32-35hz w/ 20sq inches of port.

if i were you i would really think about making the box......its ALOT cheaper, and you can choose the color of carpet to match ur car/truck....my friend ordered one once before, and there was alot silicone missing inside to seal it up, and it sounded like shi*t, and then he had to go out and buy some silicone to fill it up, and i jsut think you should buile one.....there simple to build

Have someone build one for you, better than prefab and probably cheaper, go to the caraudio.com forums register, and post in the box forum there are many good people there who build good boxes for reasonable prices...

Instead of ordering a slot ported box for your 15... Just go to an a Car Audio Shop and ask for a SuperBass Probox for a 15" speaker... It'll have everything you need
