Bronze Member Username: CadillacdbHouston , TX Post Number: 95 Registered: Aug-05 | Im not going to say anything about the Hifonics amp because i believe they are a good choice if you are on a Budget ..but the Power Acoustik Subs are not a good choice they are very poor Quality subs ( some of them are ok but most arent ) the worse ones i think ive seen are the Fubar subs by power acoustik, i worked at a Car audio shop an the returns on the fubars got so bad that our boss started telling us to convince the buyer that the problem was caused by him an the warranty wouldnt cover it ( i know thats a bad practice but he was the owner an our boss so we did what we were told ) |

One year ago i would have told you to buy audiobahns, but ive seen the light. Audiobahns arent horrible, but they arent anything special. They get loud, and the low-end is way under-rated, and there high-end is just big, bulky, heavy, and pretty looking, but no sound qaulity at all. I wouldn't recomend them. Go with Alpine, Infinity, Memphis, Kicker, JL. Remember this: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. For instance: Your walking through wal-mart right, and your browsing through the electronics section and all of a sudden you see this sub-woofer on display. Now it catches your eye becuase 1) your in wal-mart and 2) the manufacturers of this subwoofer says this sub can reach 1500 watts of pure power, and its only 100 dollars. Okay, lets pick out all the wrong parts of this story. 1) The subwoofer is in Wal-mart 2) Wal-mart is selling a subwoofer 3) Subwoofers would not be in electronics but in auto 4) The subwoofer is in Wal-mart 5) its on display at Wal-mart 6) its only 100 dollars 7) it comes with a 14 day warranty and is void at moment of contact 8) The subwoofer is in Wal-mart When it comes down to the nuts and bolts my friend, there are only 3 kind of people in the world. Those who can count and those that can't. So just ask yourself killer, ask yourself, which one are going to be.... |
