Has a digital amp section, with discreet electronics. I would really hunt one down and hear this one out before buying Herman. Circuit city has them.

JVC has recently come out with some new all-digital receivers, $250-600 I think. Browse through jandr.com for them. All depends on if you prefer analog or pure-digital sound, so a test drive is a good idea.
