I have put together a Home Theater from a combination of new and old gear I have had. The receiver is an NAD T742, and I am using old Rega speakers in the front and Fried B in the rear.
I know one is supposed to match timber and tone, and ideally they should all be the same, but affordability is always a concern.
I want to add a center channel, and have been serching the web for deal on new and used.
My options are:
Energy AC-300 - gets good reviews, can be had for about $150 new. Paradigm cc-170 - Also good reviews, can be found on eBay for $150. B&W CC6 s2 - Speaker of choice, but hard to find, and usually over $250.
Can anyone provide any insight? I would describe my current setup as very neutral, similar to a British sound.
