Hi everyone, I looking for new receiver and have narrowed it down to either the 2803 or the 1400, does anyone have an opinion on which is the better option for 90% HT and 10% Music in a room of 5m x 5m, driving Acoustic Energy speakers?
I just replaced an older Denon with the 1400 Yamaha. For movies the 1400 is great, plenty of surround modes and much better detail than my old unit. With my Denon I never liked the DSP modes, but the 1400 DSP modes work very well and really open up the sound field with my small speakers (Energy Take 5's).
