Speaker wires? Unregistered guest | I have JBL Studios and am likely to get the HK 7200 receiver (yes, I'm the guy on this board asking about the HK repeatedly). I currently have Monster speaker wires that, from memory, weren't very high end but also weren't cheap (afterall they're Monster cables). Do I need to be investing in wires that run $3 - $6 a foot (e.g., AudioQuest) or should $.50 - $1 per foot wires (like the ones I own) suffice? Thanks |

Unregistered guest | Anonymous, what is that, a joke? A) They failed to test ANY good cables and B) They failed to disclose associated gear used during testing and finally C) THEY MEASURED everything. Measurements, bless their hearts, fail to show differences in cables. As they do in amplifiers/pre-amps/cd players/turntables/cassette decks/and speakers. In fact, I challenge you (or anyone else) to find me ONE single meaningful spec on ANY audio product that would conclusively prove better sound quality. This test is garbage. |

Other cables are made better for the same dollars spent. Monster cable is overpriced but a kind of middle-of-the-road choice.
